Peppermint Mouse Deterrent Spray
Although there are conflicting reports, some say they’ve been able to keep mice away with peppermint oil. Rodents are thought to dislike the smell of peppermint. If you’d like to give it a try for yourself, try out this DIY Peppermint Mouse Deterrent Spray.
MOUSE DETERRENT RECIPE
- 20 drops peppermint essential oil, like this one on at amazon.ca
- 1 C Water
- a few drops of dish soap
Combine all ingredients in a glass spray bottle like this one available on amazon.ca, shake to mix. Spray anywhere you think mice have been or where they may be coming in. You’ll have to respray every week or two to keep the scent fresh.
An added bonus – your RV will smell minty fresh and mice aren’t the only creatures that don’t like the smell – spiders, ants and other creepy crawlers will all be headed for someone else’s RV instead.
